Welcome! I’m Ben, a behavioral scientist who loves basketball. I’ve had this blog in some form or another since 2011. Since then I’ve developed a bunch of historical metrics, hand-tracked hundreds of games, tried to start a basketball data company, written a book about basketball and cognition, and started creating podcasts / YouTube content about the NBA. You can explore all of these in the site menu above, along with many of my old posts in the archives.
If you like something you see, tweet it, share it or do whatever the cool kids are doing. I recommend printing it out, placing it in a manila envelope and mailing it to a friend with a handwritten note. (If you do this, please document it and let me know.) If you have any questions, the best way to reach me is as a Patreon subscriber.
